Trout fishing tackle urgently wanted for Gailey Accessibility Project (GAP)
Gailey Trout fishery & The British Disabled Angling Association
www.bdaa.co.uk are calling on all trout fishers and manufactures of game fishing equipment to help them by donating used or outdated stock of fly fishing equipment to the club in order for disabled and non disabled children and adults try fly fishing possibly for the first time, the recently formed partnership with the UK`s largest disabled angling charity “The British Disabled Angling Association” has resulted in the development of a number of improvement projects for the fishery, including a new and exciting angling participation scheme to be known as “Gailey Accessibility Project” (GAP) which will be introduced at the West Midlands fishery in the new year.
Supply of loan equipment for participants is essential and so high on our wish list; we are trying to obtain enough new and used stock for daily use and to keep up with repairs, all of which are a major expense. If you are able to help no matter how small, a rod, reel, line, nets, flies or even full new or used kits would be most welcomed.
Graham Whittaker of Gailey fishery commented “the club & BDAA are committed to this new project through which we hope to help hundreds of children and adults to have a go at fishing at Gailey, the kind donations of equipment would allow us to concentrate other fundraising on improving the physical access on the fishery to ensure we offer an Access for ALL policy
Can you help?
